• Not upload false, misleading, or fraudulent expense information
• Not attempt to access other users' data without authorization
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code

5. Data Accuracy

• AI-powered bill scanning is provided as a convenience and may contain errors
• You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all scanned data
• We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of AI-extracted information
• You should review all expenses before making financial decisions

6. Payment and Subscriptions

• Free tier includes basic expense tracking features
• Paid subscriptions may be offered for premium features
• Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
• You can cancel your subscription at any time

7. Intellectual Property

• All content, features, and functionality are owned by Split AI
• You retain ownership of your expense data and uploaded content
• You grant us a license to process and store your data to provide the service
• Our logo, branding, and app design are protected by intellectual property laws

8. Service Availability

• We strive for 99% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access
• We are not liable for service interruptions or data loss
• We recommend regularly exporting your data as backup

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We provide the service "as is" without warranties
• We are not liable for financial decisions you make based on expense data
• We are not liable for errors in AI-scanned bill information
• We are not liable for disputes arising from shared expenses or group features
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months

10. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse the service or harass other users

You may delete your account at any time through account settings. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of India
• Disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Gurgaon, Haryana, India
• You agree to first attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us

Our service integrates with third-party providers (SMS, AI, hosting). We are not responsible for their actions or policies. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Split AI from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
