What is Split AI?
Split AI is an expense splitting app that helps you track shared expenses, split costs fairly among friends, and settle debts easily. It uses AI to scan bills, categorize expenses, and provide spending insights.
Is Split AI free to use?
Yes! All core features of Split AI are free to use, including group creation, expense tracking, debt simplification, and settlements. We offer optional premium features for power users.
How does AI Scan work?
Simply use AI Scan to point your camera at a bill or receipt. Our AI will automatically extract the merchant name, total amount, individual items, date, and category. You can review and edit any details before saving.
How do I add friends to a group?
After creating a group, tap the invite button to generate a share link. Send this link to your friends via any messaging app. They can join the group instantly by tapping the link.
What split methods are available?
Split AI supports four split methods: Equal (split evenly among everyone), Percentage (assign custom percentages), Shares (split by number of shares), and Exact (enter specific amounts for each person).
How does debt simplification work?
Our algorithm calculates net balances for all group members and then determines the minimum number of transactions needed to settle all debts. Instead of everyone paying everyone else, it simplifies the payments to as few transfers as possible.
Which currencies does Split AI support?
Split AI supports over 100 currencies from around the world, including INR, USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, JPY, and many more. You can set your preferred default currency in the settings.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (SSL/TLS), stored in secure cloud databases, and bill images are stored in encrypted object storage. We never sell your personal data to third parties. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion by contacting us at admin@splitaiapp.com. All your personal data, expenses, and group data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.
What happens if someone disputes a settlement?
Split AI includes a dispute flow for settlements. If a member disagrees with a payment, they can raise a dispute with a note explaining the issue. The other party can then review and resolve the dispute.
